Raleigh Q Montgomery's Obituary
Mr. Raleigh Q. Montgomery Jr., age 84, of Monroe, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Atrium Health Main.
Visitation will be held between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2019, in the Davis Chapel, 1003 East Franklin St. Monroe, NC, 28112.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mr. Montgomery including military honors will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, following the visitation.
Raleigh was born July 31, 1935, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Raleigh Queed Montgomery and Nellie Schaeffer Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Shirley Montgomery of Monroe, NC, his son, Scott Montgomery (Cheryl) of Freehold, NJ, daughter Leslie Montgomery of Fort Mill, SC, and daughter Meridith Montgomery Cagle (Mark) of Mt. Holly, NC. Raleigh is also survived by his three grandsons; Alex Elliott, Connor Elliott, and Drew Montgomery, and his "little girl" Timmi, the beloved Yorkie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Union County.
