Rachel Elaine Plowman's Obituary
Rachel Elaine Rogers Plowman, 74, of Richfield, NC, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 in her home. Her funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel. Burial will follow in Stanly Garden of Memory. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 11am until 12pm at the funeral home.
Rachel was born November 26, 1946 in Iredell County, NC to the late James Allen Rogers and Rachel Holland Rogers. She formerly worked at Albemarle Spinning Mill and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. She loved working outside and enjoyed decorating her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie A. Plowman. Rachel is survived by a son, Lonnie Michael Plowman (Alison) of Bahama, NC; two daughters, Michelle Dawn Plowman (and companion, Charmario Bramham) of Richfield, NC and Jennifer Plowman Parker (Allen) of Richfield, NC; second mother, Jackie Rogers of Monroe, NC; two brothers, Matthew Rogers of Monroe, NC and Mark Rogers (Amy) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Sandra Rogers Helms of Monroe, NC; seven grandchildren, Enya, Jackson, Piper, Nicholas, Matthew, Rachel and Jacob and her two fur babies. Rachel is also preceded in death by a brother, "Sonny" James Allen Rogers,Jr.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Plowman family.
