Rachel Huneycutt Hinson's Obituary
Rachel Huneycutt Hinson, 83, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born June
26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Eli and Bertie Smith Huneycutt
and lived most of her life in Oakboro and retired to Sunset Beach, NC. She
retired from Stanly Knitting Mills, Inc. in Oakboro after 39 years. She was a
1954 graduate of Oakboro High School and Evans College of Commerce in Concord,
NC.
In addition
to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rowland Hinson,
brothers, Earl J., Clinton, Floyd E, and Milas Huneycutt, and a sister, Helen
Huneycutt Crisco.
She is survived by a daughter, Renee Hinson Horney and husband David of Monroe, NC, two grandchildren, Marci Horne Crater and husband Chris, and Kaitlin ?Katie? Horne Chambers and husband, Adam, sister, Geraldine Huneycutt Pope of Peachland, NC, and brother, Pruette Honeycutt of Kannapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer?s Association at www.alz.org/ or to Shiloh Baptist Church of Monroe Building Fund.
