Rachel Ann Engel's Obituary
Miss Rachel Ann Engel, age 65, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Shands Hospital at UF in Gainesville, FL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the JAARS Center, Townsend Auditorium.
Interment will follow at Waxhaw City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior the service.
Miss Engel was born on March 5, 1950, in McAllen, Texas, a daughter of the late Ralph Elmer Engel and Mary Ann Alhiser Engel.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Engel.
Rachel served as a librarian with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 45 years. She retired in July 2015.
Survivors include two brothers, Stephen Engel and Maria of Alabama, Philip Engel and Beth of Waxhaw; a sister, Shoco Costa of Wilmington, NC; one nephew and three nieces.
