Polly Miller Rowland's Obituary
Polly Miller Rowland passed away at Stanly Manor on April 6, 2021 at the age of 86.
She is predeceased in death by her parents, Homer Reece Miller and Pearl Frick Miller. Polly is also preceded in death by a son, Andrew Mark Rowland; two sisters, Betty Lowder and Frances Ashcraft.
Polly is survived by her loving son, Mark William Rowland of York, SC; a sister, Linda Green of New London, NC; a brother, Jerry Miller of Richfield, NC; a grandchild, Maddie Rowland of Concord, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
Polly was born in Albemarle, NC in 1934. She graduated from Richfield High School and went on to earn a nursing degree from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. She worked over 30 years as an RN in the nursey of Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Polly enjoyed reading, swimming, trips with her church group and time with her loving family. She was a friend to all and touched many lives throughout her nursing career.
The visitation will be held at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle, on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5pm until 7pm.
The funeral service will be held at New Mount Tabor United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the New Mount Tabor United Methodist church cemetery.
