Phyllis Efird Talbert, 76, of Albemarle passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 in her home.? Her funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Stoney Benfield adnd Rev. Dr. Darrell Huneycutt officiating.? Burial will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Prospect Baptist Church from noon until 1 PM prior to the funeral service.
Born January 10, 1939 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Talbert was the daughter of the late Frerick Efird and Dorothy Brewer Efird.? She worked for many years in the knitting department of Wiscassett Mills and later worked as a beautician.? She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and was very active at the YMCA.
Mrs. Talbert is survived by her husband Charlie Clinton Talbert.? Other survivors include son Gary Clinton Talbert of Atlanta, GA, and Tony Lane Talbert of Albemarle, three brothers Fred Efird of Oakboro, Lowell Efird of Whitsett, NC, Garnold Efird of Charlotte, NC, sister Sybill Russell of Albemarle, and grandchildren Cody Lane Talbert and Collin Kris Talbert both of Albemarle.
