Mrs. Peggyruth Cookie Biggers Hughes, age 59, of Monroe,North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at her residence.
Cookie was born on March 12, 1955, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, a daughter of Shirley Sykes Biggers and the late Rufus Lee Biggers.
She was a retired insurance agent with the Hartford Insurance Company.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Thomas Hughes of Monroe; her mother, Shirley Sykes Biggers Huneycutt of Monroe.
There are many aunts and uncles.
