Peggy Jean Windham, 72, of Albemarle passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.? Her funeral service will be 3 PM Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buck Cannup officiating.? Burial will follow in West Concord Cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 2 until 3 PM prior to the hour of the service.
Born June 21, 1943 in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin Hinson and Albenny Roscoe Hinson and was a former textile worker.? She attended East Bethel Baptist Church in Concord.
She is survived by her husband Purvis James Windham of Ruby, SC, son Donald James Windham (Wanda Lowder) of Albemarle, daughter Deanna Marie Clay (Michael) of Concord, brother Gary Hinson of West Jefferson, ?sister Clarie Nell Hobbs of Kannapolis, grandchildren Josh Hughes, Jeremy Edwards, Brittany Clay, step grandchildren Stacy Lowder and Ashley Lowder, and great-grandchildren Kenneth Edwards, ?and step great-grandchildren Rick Hutcherson and Rylan Hutcherson.? A son Jerry Wayne Windham preceded her in death in 1997.
