Peggy B. Hill's Obituary
Peggy B. Hill, 91, of Albemarle, NC passed away Saturday July 27, 2019 at Atrium Health Stanly. Her funeral will be Tuesday July 30th at 11:00AM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel in Albemarle. A visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10:30AM prior to the service. A private burial will follow.
Peggy was born December 10th, 1927 in Stanly
County, NC to the late Shuford Butler Burris and Annie Laura Hill Burris. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University
with a BA in education. Over the years
she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bridge, a seamstress, and was a
wonderful grandmother. She attended
First Baptist Church in Albemarle.
She was married to the late Carl M. ?Buck? Hill who preceded
her in death on August 5th, 2016.
She is survived by two sons; Kenneth Hill (Kelly) of Albemarle, NC and Timothy
Hill of Albemarle, NC., four grandchildren; Lauren Hill Bowers (Chase), Brett
J. Hill (Kendra), Carl Hill, and Leanne Hill Nance (Chase), and three
great-grandchildren; Bennett Bowers, Etta Bowers, and Pressley Nance, nephew,
Trent Morgan (Shelia) of Oakboro, NC; nieces, Lynn Lowder (John ) of Albemarle,
NC, Cathy Furr (the late Herbie Furr) of Stanfield, NC, Carol Goodman (Jackie)
of Richfield, NC and Pam T. Holbrook (Gus) of Albemarle, NC. She was also preceded
in death by a sister Ellen Thomas Parker (the late Brady Thomas).
