Peggy Jean Crook's Obituary
Mrs. Peggy A. Crook, age 82, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Jesse Helms Nursing Center of Monroe.
A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Peggy A. Crook will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, officiated by Reverend Shad Hicks. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Crook was born on February 9, 1931, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late William Heath Austin and Mary Otis Harrell Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Ramsey.
She was a retired assembly worker with Vanguard Supreme with over 30 years of dedicated service. Peggy was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Crook and wife Carol of Waxhaw, NC and Donald Crook and wife Carolyn of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Maxine Funderburk of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, Bill Austin and wife Carolyn of Charlotte, NC.
There are two grandchildren, Ryan Crook of Wilmington, NC and Kristina Murray of Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home, prior to the funeral ceremony.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2524 Stack Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
