Paul Daniel Thompson's Obituary
Paul Daniel Thompson, 84, of New London passed away March 18, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 1:30, March 20, 2021 at Stanly Gardens of Memory with Rev. Rocky Thompson and Rev. Dusty Laney officiating.
Born February 25, 1937 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Collie Thompson and Eula Morton Thompson. He was a retired printer with Eastern Airlines and a member of Highland Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. Mr. Thompson was an avid woodworker.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey Fitts Thompson, son Rev. Rocky Thompson of Cartersville, GA, daughters Angie Mendoza (Ken) of Rockwell and Anissa Edwards (David) of New London, and seven grandchildren: Judah Thompson, Jordan Johnson (Alan), Joy Thompson, Paul Mendoza, Tess Mendoza, Anna Brown (Tyler), Charleton Edwards. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death: James Thompson, Keith Thompson, Kemp Thompson and Eva Jane Thompson.
