Paul David Scott's Obituary
Paul David Scott passed away peacefully at his home on April 8th, 2021 at the age of 93 surrounded by his family.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Annie, of 72 years. He is also
survived by son, Eddie of San Antonio, Texas, daughter Carolyn and husband Mike of Norwood, son Randy and s/o Sherry of New London, brother Jerry of Norwood. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Paul was born in Moore County (Robbins) on May 19th, 1927. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in May 1945. After training he served in the 60th Field Artillery Battalion in Germany as a postal clerk. He was honorably discharged at Technician Fifth Grade Rank from Fort Dix, New
Jersey in 1947. After military service he worked for Wiscassett Mills for 42 years until he retired.
Paul enjoyed carpentry work, playing guitar and autoharp, mechanics and he was an avid gardener. He was a member and trustee of Dunn’s Grove Baptist Church for most of his life.
Paul always went above and beyond to love and support his family. In May 1949 he surrendered his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and he spent his life loving others like God loved him.
A visitation will be held at Dunn’s Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, April 10th from 2-4 PM.
The funeral service and interment will be held at Dunn’s Grove immediately following with Reverend Jeremy Holt and Reverend Jim Strickland officiating.
