Paul William Acker, Jr., 64, of Albemarle passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Carolinas Healthcare System Northeast.? A service to honor his life will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Yow officiating.? The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00PM until 4:00 PM prior to the hour of the service.
Born June 13, 1952 in Meadville, PA, he was the son of Paul William Acker, Sr. and Twila Elizabeth Sturrock Acker.? He was a contractor and a member of Central United Methodist Church.? He loved his grandbabies, gardening and hunting.? He had unconditional love for his family and always put them first.
Mr. Acker is survived by his wife Vicky Jeanette Hall Acker, son Larry Ray Acker (Autumn) of Fuquay Varina, NC, daughters Anita Anne Acker of Charlotte and Julie Elizabeth Coley (P.J.) of Aquadale, sisters Paula Newhard (John) of Saegertown, PA, and Linda Waid of Meadville, PA, step-sister Marti Kralac of Hawaii, grandchildren Matthew Ritch, Levi Coley, Nathaniel Acker, Liberty Coley, Bethany Acker, Jessica Acker, Joseph Acker, and Andrew Acker.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
