Patsy Meares Singletary's Obituary
Patsy Meares Singletary, 89, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury. A memorial service is scheduled at 11 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Trinity Oakes Skilled Care Chapel officiated by Pastor Bryant McLean. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service.
Patsy was born on October 21, 1935 in Wake County to the late E.D. and Mary Alice Meares. She is lovingly survived by her daughters Robyn Singletary of Richfield and Suzan Dabbs and her husband John of Concord, son-in-law Gary Dick, grandchildren, Natalie Singletary, Autumn Simmons (Davey), April Riedel (Danny), Kristi Conner (Eric), Barrett Dabbs (Sarah), Taylor Guarino (Mike), Andrew Dabbs (Fiancé Anna), fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and adopted family member Lila McCain.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Normal Ivey Singletary, Sr. in 1995, daughter AnDe Dick and son Chip Singletary.
Patsy was a master level bridge player who competed in tournaments. Patsy retired as a school teacher who had the privilege of teaching multiple generations of the same families. She adored children and especially spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Rowan County for the care they provided to Patsy.
