Pansy Page Hill's Obituary
Pansy Juanita Page Hill, age 90, passed away at her home in New London on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
Pansy was born October 27, 1930, in Stanly County to the late Carl Lee Page and Evelyn Leona Hatley Page.
Pansy started her career by working for the family business, Page Church Furniture. From there, she served as Assistant Clerk of Court for 20 years. After leaving the Clerk of Court’s office, she then worked for the Stanly County Hospital Triage until retirement.
Pansy enjoyed gardening and loved working in the yard with her roses and many irises. She was an avid reader and taught her children the importance of reading when they were very young. Pansy was devoted to her family and loved them all dearly. When her first grandchild was born, she was given the nickname “Gaga” which stayed with her throughout the rest of her life.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Hardister and husband Don of Charlotte, Deborah Griffith of Albemarle, Susan Burris of New London, and Michael Pelt and wife Terrie of Cary; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Donald B. Hill, sisters, Marlene Hamilton, Patricia Blalock, and Sue Boyer and her beloved cat, Sam.
A private service to celebrate her life will be held on August 15, 2021.
