Orville "Bud" Lane Lilly's Obituary
Mr. Orville "Bud" Lane Lilly, Jr., age 73, of Marshville, NC, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017, at CMC-Pineville.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Philadelphia Baptist Church; 5709 Philadelphia Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103, officiated by Reverend Caroll Anthony. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Lilly was born on March 2, 1944 in Corinne, West Virginia, son of the late Orville Lane Lilly and the late Dorothy Arlene Dickerson. He was US Air Force veteran and a retired electrical maintenance technician with the VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Smith Lilly of Marshville, NC; his five sons Dennis Dwayne Lilly of Commerce, GA, Bryan Keith Lilly (Aleta) of Germanton, NC, Paul Andrew Lilly (Dawn) of Flowery Branch, GA, Jonathan Woodrow Lilly of Commerce, GA and David Edwin Lilly (Meagan) of Yadkinville, NC; his daughter Cherilyn Ann Murphy (Brian) of Smithfield, NC; his step sons Travis Vaughn of Marshville, NC and Brent Vaughn (Mary) of Marshville, NC; his step daughter Tessa Vaughn Flowe (David); his brother Billy Lilly (Kathy) of Marshville, NC; his sisters Carolyn Walker of Monroe, NC and Darlene Warden (Benny) of Beckley, WV; and his 19 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, Wednesday August 23, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church.
