Opal Lillian Harris Mauldin, 96, of Albemarle passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Stanly Manor.? Her funeral will be 2 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 in Palestine United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin McCormac and Pastor Boyd Read Obituary
Vivian and Family. I am so truly sorry for your loss. Opal was in the room next to my mom (Ruby) at Stanly Manor. I would smile and wave at her as I passed her door and she would always smile and wave back to me. What a sweet lady. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all. We are so very sorry.

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. Wonderful memories from my childhood of being in Opal's Sunday School Class at Palestine Methodist. Our families blended very well together in sharing church fellowship, work, etc. in "the olden days". Good era. Phil, Vivian and Chris...you have been so good caring for your mother. My condolences and prayers are with each of you. My love.
