Olan Earl Green's Obituary
Olan Earl Green, 79, of Stanfield, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare System Northeast. Mr. Green was born April 6, 1937, in Stanly County to the late Silas Greene and Lulu Huneycutt Greene.
Mr. Green was a United States Navy veteran and retired from McDevitt and Street where he was a carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, woodworking, and being able to spend many hours with his grandchildren.
Olan is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Ann Green; daughter Linda Green; brothers: Paul Greene, James Greene, and Melvin Greene; and sisters: Ruby Burris, Sue Morgan, and Doris Greene.
Mr. Green is survived by his son Olan Earl Green, Jr. of Salisbury, N.C.; daughter Sue Lynn Green of Stanfield, N.C., grandchildren Jake and Makenzie Green; ?and step-grandchildren Jantzen and Jacob Weathers.
Visitation will be held at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 2:00-3:30PM. A graveside service will be held at 4:00PM in Oakboro Cemetery following visitation.
