Novella Taylor Poplin's Obituary
Novella Mae Taylor Poplin, 91, of Oakboro, passed away on January 28, 2020 at Autumn Care of Marshville. A graveside service will be held at 3PM on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Oakboro Cemetery officiated by Rev. Bruce League.
Novella was born October 25, 1928 in Stanly County to the
late Minnie Mae Furr Taylor and Jonah Calvin Taylor, Sr. In her free time, Mrs.
Poplin loved gardening and crocheting. She was a retired spinner with Tuscarora
and a member at West Oakboro Baptist Church.
Mrs. Poplin is survived by grandchildren Cassie Poplin Little (Phillip) of Fairview, Charli Poplin Moore (John Mark) of New Salem, and William Ivey, III of New Salem; 5 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Kara Ivey (Mark) of New Salem; several nieces and nephews. Novella is preceded in death by her husband John Henry Poplin; son Ricky Lane Poplin; brother J.C. Taylor; and sisters Della Petrea, Doris Drye, and Geneva Mullis.
