Nora Blankenship's Obituary
Nora Blankenship, 90, of Albemarle, NC passed away Saturday July 27th, 2019.? Her funeral will be 3PM Wednesday, July 31st at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Nathan Hammill officiating.? Burial will follow in the church cemetery.? There will be no formal visitation.?
Born August 1st, 1928 in Mingo County, WV she was
the daughter of the late Stuart Hurley and Elise Jane Ferrll Hurley. She was a member of Open Door Baptist
Church. Mrs. Blankenship worked in her
early years for Western Electric and later as a care giver. Her favorite pastime was fishing. She was also a talented quilt maker.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Harold Leslie Blankenship and son Ronald E. Blankenship.? She is survived by her daughter Jane Matthews of Albemarle, brothers Ferrell Hurley of Albemarle, Fred Hurley of WV, Wallace Hurley of MO, sisters Sandra Schaefer of New London, Carol Quick of IL, grandchildren Josh Matthews, Harold Blankenship, Ronald Blankenship, Christina Sanchez, Michael Schaefer and 9 great-grandchildren.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Blankenship family.
