Nolan Orsen Wilder's Obituary
Nolan Orsen Wilder, 75, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly. His funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Centerview Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Wilder will lie in state on Thursday from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilder was born December 1, 1946 in Wake County, NC to the late William “Bill” Greenwood Wilder and Beatrice Fulghum Wilder. He worked many years in the auto body industry. Nolan was an avid car enthusiast, who enjoyed restoring classic cars. In addition, he loved his Oldie Goldie music from the 60’s. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving three years during the Vietnam War.
Nolan is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Juanita Carpenter Wilder of the home. He is also survived by his children, Renda (David) Lowder of Albemarle, Jennifer (Phillip) Baucom of New London and grandchildren, Samantha (Justin) McClellan of Concord, NC, Matthew Lowder, Kayda Baucom and Elizabeth Baucom; brother, Mike (Kaye) Wilder and nephews, Chad and Chris Wilder.
