Nina (Joyce) Denny's Obituary
Mrs. Nina (Joyce) Denny traveled peacefully into the arms? of?her loving Father Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Hospice of the
Piedmont after a brief illness. She was born the daughter of Alfred and?Dorothy Payne. Joyce was married to? C. Michael Denny. She was a teacher
during her??working years but devoted as much time as she could toward raising her?children and maintaining their home. Those who knew her, knew her to
be selfless, always caring for the needs of others before her own. She was?preceded in death? by her father and mother, Alfred and Dorothy Payne,
her husband C. Michael Denny;? a grandson, Derek Sorrell; and her sister,?Linda Hollis. She is survived by two daughters, Christy (Jerry) Kepley of
Salisbury,?Connie (Scott Hilton) Denny of Thomasville, and a son Mickey (Tina) Denny.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Trina (Jeff) Miller, Scott?Sorrell,?Steven (Nicole) Denny, Ashley Kepley, Lauren Kepley, Megan (Isaiah)
Benfield, McKinzie Hilton, Sarah Hilton and Jake Hilton. She is survived by?six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gary (Rebecca)
Payne of Cary. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 9, at Zion?United Church of Christ in Thomasville at??5 p.m., officiated by pastors Gary Phaup, and Casey Bradford. The family?will receive friends prior to the services from 3 to 5 at the church and?will meet other times at the home of Kay and Lee Hornady. In lieu of?flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester?Drive, High Point, NC 27262,?or charity of your choice.
