Nellie Pickler Tucker's Obituary
Nellie Pickler Tucker, 85, of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. Her funeral service will be at 11AM on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Palestine United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin McCormac and Rev. Boyd Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10-11AM in the church sanctuary prior to the hour of the service.
Born March 4, 1936 in Stanly County to the late John Cicero and Jencie Almond Tucker. She was retired employee of Wiscassett Mills and was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church. Nellie enjoyed teaching Sunday School at church and helping with the senior luncheon.
She is survived by her son Charles E. Tucker and wife Sandra of Albemarle, 2 grandchildren Davin W. Tucker and wife Christina of China Grove and Damon Seth Tucker and wife Whitney of Albemarle, 4 great grandchildren, Emily, Bailey, Emery, and Berklee. Nellie is preceded in death by her husband Charles Leroy Tucker; son Phillip Lee Tucker; sisters: Judy Pickler Caudle, Grace Pickler Dorsey, Ester Mae Pickler; brothers James Ulas Pickler, and Gilbert Pickler.
