Nellie Hatley's Obituary
Nellie Hatley, 89 of Mt. Pleasant, NC went to her heavenly home on May 27th., 2024, at her home.
Nellie Beatty Hatley was born on October 28,1934 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Jack and Henrietta Little Beatty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Hurley Hatley, brothers: Jack and Tom, sisters: Joyce, Betty, and Shirley, son-in-laws: Frank Peacock and Martin Rule, Granddaughter: Rebecca Peacock.
Nellie is survived by her sister: Nova Stephens, daughters: Lana Kiser, Teresa (Keith) Bright, Tammy (Wayne) Eury, Pam Rule, Grandchildren: Christy (Jon) Strange, Jessica Smith, Ronald (Jamie) Rule, Amber (Michael) Shoe, Allison (Butch) Fewster, and John (Courtney) Peacock. Great-Grandchildren: Jonna, Anson (Mackenzie), Brenley, Jennings, Casey, Raelynn, Ravon Jr. “God-Great Granddaughter” Ariana, Corbin, Jillian, Lindsey, Cooper, Jackson, Charley, Maggie and Josie
Nellie retired from Zimmer and after retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, mowing the yards, and vacationing at the beach. She loved her church family at St. Stephen’s Wesleyan Church, Concord and she also enjoyed going on the Joy Fellowship adventures.
A Celebration of her life will be held on June 1st., 2024, at 1pm at St. Stephens Wesleyan Church, Concord, NC. Officiated by Pastor Gary Morris. The family is encouraging everyone to wear colorful clothing, especially purple, her favorite color.
