Neddy Joe Burris' Obituary
Neddy Joe Burris, 71, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday February 28, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 19, 1953, to the late Floyd Ray and Margaret Teeter Burris. The family will have a ‘Celebration of Life,’ for close family and friends at a later date. The family welcomes family and friends. The family will be at the home of his daughter 22354-A Teeter Rd Albemarle.
Neddy retired from Albemarle Fire Department after 30 years of service and was also a member of the Endy Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, proceeding him in death was his brother Reggie Nelson Burris, son Kevin Ray Burris, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Lynn McHone. Neddy is survived by daughter Sherry Hudson and husband Daniel of Albemarle; grandchildren Lynzee Eddins and fiancé Dillon McHone of Norwood, Brandon Eddins and wife Kendal of Norwood, Kala Hudson and fiancé Mike Biby of Albemarle, and Cali Gentry of Albemarle; great-grandchildren Remi Lynn Eddins and soon-to-be great-grandson Isaac Colt Biby; a sister Tyra Gardner and husband Scott, nephews Matthew and Mason Gardner, and great-nephew Joel Gardner.
