Myra Heglar Shaver's Obituary
Myra Heglar Shaver, 77, of New London, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Her funeral service will be 2pm Friday, September 2, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Marc Sessions officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 1:30pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
She was born January 14, 1945 in Albemarle, NC to the late Grady Heglar and Edith Pierce Heglar. Myra was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Richfield, NC. She loved cooking, flower gardening, canning tomatoes when they were in season and eating pickles.
Myra is survived by her husband, Walter Samuel Shaver, Jr., of the home, two sons, Roger Scott Burleson of Albemarle, NC and Nicholas Alexander Burleson (Kelly Jo) of New London, NC and a daughter, Tamalla Star Burleson Lum (Randall) of Melborne, FL.
