Mitchell Rankin Morrow's Obituary
Mitchell Rankin Morrow, 80, of Mt. Gilead, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at his home. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2pm in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military rites. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born July 12, 1942 in Montgomery County, NC, he was the son of the late Jack B. Morrow and Addie B. Morrow. He was the previous owner of Pee Dee Hosiery Mill and a former employee of Browns Hardware. He was a life member and past Commander of VFW Post 10940. He served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Morrow and YM Morrow, and sister, Amelia Morrow McLean and a niece, Mitzi Morrow Kivett. Survivors include wife, Judy Morrow, daughter, Alesia Morrow Brown and husband, Shawn of Troy; sister-in-law, Peggy Morrow; brother-in-law, Bob McLean; nieces, Laura McLean, Cyndi Morrow; nephews, Scott Morrow and Chad McLean.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, VFW Post 10940 or Blackmer Lodge No. 127.
