Mitchell Wayne Love Sr., 64, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Locust, North Carolina.
Born on May 18, 1962, Mitchell was the son of the late John Wayne Love Sr. and Mary Smith.
Mitchell will be lovingly remembered by his children, Julie Bailey (David), Mitchell Love Jr. (Rochelle), Matt Love (Jennifer), and Brian Love (Rebekah); his brothers, Rex Love (Kim) and John Love Jr. (Rhonda); his sister, Marie Daniels (David); his 11 grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
For 35 years, Mitchell was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Simpson Eggs, where he built many lasting friendships throughout the years. Outside of work, he found joy in carp fishing, spending time outdoors, and simply enjoying life doing the things he loved most. Above all else, Mitchell loved his family deeply. He was a wonderful father, proud grandfather, and someone who could always make others smile with his playful sense of humor and joking spirit.
The family greatly appreciates the many prayers, acts of kindness, and support shown during this difficult time and the family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and employees of Simpson Eggs for the love, care, friendship, and support they showed Mitchell throughout his 35 years with the company.
Mitchell's kindness, laughter, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
