Miriam Winona Simmons Betts of Albemarle, NC, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.? There is no funeral planned at this time.
Born January 19, 1928 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late George Thomas Simmons and Elbia Nevada Camp Simmons.? She was a graduate of Albemarle High School, class of 1946 and a homemaker.
Ms. Betts is survived by one son, William ?Butch? Bernard Betts, Jr. of Albemarle; one daughter, Tamara B. Misenheimer and husband Steve of Albemarle; a grandson, Chris Misenheimer and wife Shanda of Albemarle; and two great-grandchildren, Stephen Misenheimer and Madison Misenheimer of Albemarle.
