Mildred Huneycutt Morton's Obituary
Mildred Huneycutt Morton, 86, of Albemarle passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly. Visitation will be held from 8:45-9:45AM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care in Albemarle. A graveside funeral service will follow at 10AM at Stanly Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Albemarle.
Mrs. Morton was born August 31, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Bill Lee Huneycutt and Mary Whitley Huneycutt. She was a member at Oak Grove Baptist Church where she played the piano. Mildred enjoyed singing, playing the piano,, and making ramen noodles for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her sons: Roger Morton (Vickie)of Albemarle; Billy Morton (Karen) of Albemarle; daughters: Melody Clubb (James III) of Norwood, Mary Ann Vanhoy (David) of Albemarle, Doretta Evatt of Smithfield, WV; grandchildren: Jason Morton (Michele), Amberly Crisco (Corey), Maleah Moore, Bryan Morton, Cory Morton, Derek Morton, Loretta Clubb (Clint Adams), James Clubb, IV, Mitchell Vanhoy (Heather), Timothy Vanhoy (Celena), Jessica French (Tyler), Calvin Evatt, Mildred Quinn (Mike), April Tedrow (Curt); great grandchildren: Jordan Crisco, Keeli Crisco, Stephani Morton, Izzy Morton, Kwenton Morton, McKena Morton, Ryker Morton, Danika Moore, Maxton Morton, Rileigh Morton, Alexia Clubb, Hunter Adams, Gabriel Vanhoy, Elijah Vanhoy, Juniper Evatt, Josie Holthaus, Iesha Quinn, Jerry Evatt, Eric Tedrow, Alyssa Tedrow; nieces: Sherry Thomas and Gloria Pierce.
Preceded in death by her husband: Elwood Morton; granddaughter: Amber Morton; A great granddaughter, Willow Morton; sister: Kathleen Goins; nephew: Jimmy Goins.
