Mildred Honeycutt's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Fowler Honeycutt, age 90, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday evening, May 31, 2013, at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, North Carolina.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Mildred Fowler Honeycutt will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born on July 31, 1922, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Randolf Floyd Fowler and Mable Preslar Fowler. She was married to the late Marvin Lee Honeycutt. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice H. Austin; four brothers, L. Morrison Fowler, Floyd N. Fowler, Alfred J. Fowler,and Melvern B. Fowler; and two sisters, Louise F. Baker and Juanita F. Gluyas.
She was retired from Radiator Specialty Company. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, James M. Honeycutt of Monroe; two daughters, Brenda H. Wooten of Monroe and Linda H. Griffin of Wingate; two sisters, Doris F. Starnes of Monroe and Shirley F. Medlin of Monroe; and a brother, Wayne B. Fowler of Indian Trail.
There are 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She will be greatly missed and is truly loved by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening, June 3, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.
