Mildred ?Louise? Hefley's Obituary
Mildred ?Louise? Hefley (n?e Russell) of Albemarle passed away on May 19, 2019 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Home. Louise was born on August 8, 1930 in Albemarle. She was the 10th of 13 children born to Jessie and Ollie Russell. After graduating high school in 1950, Louise went on to obtain a degree in cosmetology and also as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She moved to Daytona Beach, FL in the mid-1950s where she worked as a hairdresser for several years before marrying and starting a family. Louise raised her family primarily in Tampa, FL. In 2002 she moved back to her home town of Albemarle. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, all but one of her siblings, and her best friend Betty Hayes. She is survived by her sister Pauline Carpenter of Albemarle; her son Mark Hefley of Albemarle and daughter Susan Hefley of Virginia; three granddaughters, Brittney Cotter of Atlanta, GA, Julie Hefley of Murphy, NC, and Hannah Hefley of Blairsville, GA; two great granddaughters, Willa Louise Cotter and Arabella Faith Jacobs; and her special friend Grady Harkey.
Services will be held at 2 Pm Wednesday May 22, 2019 in the
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview
Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Tuesday evening from 6 Pm until
8 Pm at the funeral home.

the disease for 13 years after diagnosis.
