Prayers for his family
My deepest condolences to Carla and Kevin and family. Also to his beautiful wife and all the family. I met this man on brief occasions when he picked up Carla and Laura, at The Little Red Schoolhouse. My brief encounters come back to memory now. A man who was always smiling..and the children were happy to see him. Loved them both. May God bless you all. God will always be with you and so will Micky in your heart..the spirit never dies. Carla...Miss Karen loves you so much. 💙🌹💌
Sincerely,
Karen Yow Meggs Parker

I was able to take Mickey's Cabinetmaking 1 course at AHS in 2003. I had no idea what to expect, but it was an incredible experience. I wasn't sure how the skills that I learned in his class would be applicable but they've been invaluable for assembling prototypes and basic home repair. Occupational safety was #1 and that gave the the opportunity and background to serve as a safety officer for several shops and labs. Mickey cared about each and every one of his students, and he wanted to give us all foundational skills in a trade that we might not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience. I am so sad to learn of his passing today.

Carol, Carla, John, and Chaunce, I'm sorry for your loss.
It was always good talking and working with Mickey through the years.
His expertise was much appreciated. We won't be able to attend the service as we will be out of town, but hopefully a family member will be there.

Met Mickey at The first street diner about 2 years ago. He was a kind and sweet gentleman. Enjoyed our conversations. I am sure you will be missed very much and loved.
