Michael Barbee's Obituary
Michael "Jan" Barbee, 65, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. His funeral service will be 11 AM on Saturday. May 13, 2023 at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Austin presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until 10:45 prior to the hour of the service.
Born August 18, 1957 in Cabarrus County, NC he was the son of Bobby Barbee and Linda Barbee of Midland. He loved his grandchildren, snow skiing, motorcycles and anything to do with the outdoors.
Mr. Barbee is survived by his wife Mary Barbee of Shallotte, son Jon Michael Barbee of Charlotte, daughter Irene "Nicole" Heath (Lynnie) of Matthews, sisters Theresa Barbee Shaver (Greg) of Locust, and Denise Barbee Smith (Danny) of Stanfield, and 3 grandchildren Jayden Elijah Barbee, Adalynn Mae Heath, and Jaxon River Heath.
