Maynolia Rummage Herrin, 98, of Albemarle passed away Friday, September 23, 2016.? Her funeral service will be 11 AM Monday, September 26, 2016 in Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Church and Rev. Jeremy Blake officiating.? Burial will follow in the church cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born May 19, 1918 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late George Nelson Rummage and Pearlie Mae Hinson Rummage and was a homemaker.? She was the oldest living member of Union Grove Baptist Church.? Mrs. Herrin was a sweet, loving mother and grandmother to her family.? She loved everybody and most of all, she loved the Lord.? One of her joys in life was playing the piano, especially old hymns.
Mrs. Herrin was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Allen Smith and her second husband Clifton J. Herrin.? She was also preceded in death by her children Gary Orlando Smith and Jenelle Smith Faulkner and grandchildren Tommy Preslar and Gary Orlando Smith II.? She is survived by her granddaughter Michelle S. Bouvette of Davidson, daughter-in-law Barbara Smith of Albemarle, brothers Spencer Rummage of Mooresville and Avery Rummage of Albemarle, and great-granddaughter, Madeleine Bouvette.
