May Tho's Obituary
May Tho, 77, of Norwood, North Carolina peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 06, 2025, comfortably and surrounded by her loved ones at her home.
Born on July 3, 1948, in Laos, May was the cherished daughter of the late Faiv Ntaj Thoj and Maiv Kawm Muas. A devoted mother and loving wife, she lived her life with quiet strength, diligence, and purpose. She found joy in the simple things; sewing with patience and care, and tending her garden with a passion that reflected the beauty of her spirit.
May will be remembered as one of the most loving women many ever had the blessing to know; caring, humble, and deeply Christ-centered. Her gentle heart set an example for everyone around her. Family was her greatest treasure. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering her loved ones close, seeing them happy, and creating a home filled with warmth and unity.
A gifted cook with gracious hospitality, May welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm meal waiting. She made sure no one ever left her table without a full belly and a sense of belonging. She had an extraordinary ability to turn ordinary moments into meaningful ones; her days were shaped by purpose, kindness, and a loving heart.
May is survived by her devoted husband, Nhia Vue Vangkhue Lee, and their children:
● Sons: Chue Nhia Lee, Vam Kawv Lee, Tou Neng Lee, Toua Lee, Max Lee
● Daughters: Deu Lee, Nkauj Aib Lee, Mary Lee, Sunshine Lee, Jannett Lee
She also leaves behind her daughters-in-law (Kia Vue, Xee Thao, Chia Vang, Mai Vang) and sons-in-law (Yias Yaj, Joe Moua, Jay Hughes, Va Nou Xiong, Dustin Vang). Her rich legacy continues through her 64 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
