May LeFern Pierce's Obituary
Mrs. May Lefern Pierce, age 84, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at her residence.
A Celebration of her Life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Henry Hall Wilson Home, 1301 East Franklin Street.
Mrs. Pierce was born on September 19, 1929, in Victoria, Texas, a daughter of the late John Wilbourn and Birdie M. Pearce Wilbourn. She was married to the late Lee Roy Pierce who passed in 1976.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Jean Pierce (1947), Martha Epsaro (1991) and Jean Pierce( 2010).
She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Survivors include a three daughters, Betty Ann Jordan and husband Colonel Donnie Jordan of Monroe, Vicki L. Townsend of Monroe and Rita L. Brumley of Pigeon Forge, TN; a son, Roy Lee Pierce and wife Cindy Pierce of Mt. Holly, NC; five sisters, Lola Dale, Lois Crawford, Pearl Wells, Dorothy Pearce and Anna Mae Wilbourn; and three brothers, Merle Wilbourn, Edward Wilbourn and Jack Wilbourn.
There are two grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Scott and Phillip Lee Roy Bumby; and a great granddaughter, Aloura Scott. There are many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday Night, November 14, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.
