Mary Lou
Walker Stewart, 85, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at
CHS-Main in Charlotte. Her funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, at 11 AM
at First Baptist Church of Locust with Dr. Tommy Ross and Dr. Kinney Wallace
officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM till 8 PM Friday, May 10
at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care of Locust. A private burial will take
place at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
Born August
11, 1933 in Keyser, WV Mary was the daughter of the late James and Hattie
Walker. She was a former member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Charlotte. Most
recently, Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Locust. She loved her
family deeply and was very proud of her grandchildren.
She was
married to Charles ?Chuck? Stewart. Survivors include son, Chuck Stewart, Jr.
(Michaelyne) of Oakboro, daughter Jeri Hill of Easley, SC, sisters Jean
Fazenbaker and Helen Lucas, sister-in-law Jenny Walker and grandchildren, Ben
Hill (Danielle), Crissi Hill, and Madison Stewart.
