Marvin Dennis Biles Jr.'s Obituary
Marvin Dennis Biles, Jr., 72, formerly of Rochester, MN and most recently of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tony Biles officiating.
Born December 12, 1953 in Albemarle, NC, he was the son of the late Marvin Dennis Biles and Clara Odessa Almond Biles. He worked as an ultrasonographer for many years before his retirement. He was a man of faith who found comfort and purpose in his church, and in his later years he was thankful for the opportunity to be involved and to do volunteer work there.
Mr. Biles will be remembered for his warm sense of humor and the joy he found in joking with others. His family knew him as a steady source of practical wisdom, kindness, and fatherly guidance. Long before there were online videos and instant answers, his son could turn to him for help with repairing a car, fixing a leaky faucet, or working through the small problems of everyday life. He offered not only good advice, but also the reassurance and confidence that came with a father’s patient care. After the death of his wife, he remained committed to caring for his health and often enjoyed long walks, finding in them both strength and peace.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Nathan Biles (Tanya) of Farmington, MN and Wesley Biles (Katie) of Phoenix, AZ; Seven grandchildren; and one brother, Tony Biles (Joyce) of Richfield, NC.
His life touched those around him in quiet but lasting ways, and he will be remembered with love, gratitude, and affection by his family and all who knew him.
