Marie Poplin Byrd's Obituary
Marie Annette Poplin Byrd, 67, of Albemarle passed away September 28, 2019 in Bethany Woods. Her funeral will be 11 AM on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery, Polkton. There will be a viewing from 10 until 11 prior to the hour of the service.
Born August 12, 1952 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Croson Poplin and Thelma Mattie Mills Poplin. She was a homemaker and attended Full Gospel Mission Church, Albemarle.
Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her husband James Byrd in 2011. She is survived by a brother, Mike Poplin of Albemarle.
