Marianne Rose Wood's Obituary
Marianne Rose Wood, 33, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her.
Marianne was a sweet and beautiful soul, inside and out. She carried a quiet strength that defined her life. Fiercely independent and determined, she faced challenges with courage and resilience, without fanfare or self-pity.
Marianne was naturally private and did not let a lot of people in. But those she chose to trust and love were loved fiercely and without reservation.
She found peace and renewal in nature. She loved hiking, being in the sunshine, and the simple beauty of sunflowers, her favorite flower. Her beloved dog, Jasmine, was her constant companion and a steady source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love.
Marianne was also passionate about the hope that one day a cure would be found for Type 1 diabetes. She carried that hope not only for herself, but for others walking the same road. Her strength in the face of that daily challenge was a testament to her resilience.
Marianne is survived by friends and family who loved her deeply and will miss her always, and will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Marianne’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marianne’s honor to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to support research toward a cure: https://www2.breakthrought1d.org/site/Donation2?df_id=2376 (800) 533-CURE (2873)
