Margaret "Teenie" Watson's Obituary
Margaret Ernestine “Teenie” Watson, 91, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Atrium Health Stanly. Her service will be 1pm Monday, September 11, 2023 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Minister Curtis Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Ernestine was born July 23, 1932 in Chesterfield, SC to the late Ernest Benjamin McLain and Margaret Ruth Turnage McLain. She loved to sing and enjoyed bluegrass music. Ernestine also enjoyed painting and bird watching. She was a seamstress for over thirty years.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, William F. “Doc” Watson. She is survived by two daughters, Gerrie Watson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Hazel Irby of Albemarle, NC; three grandchildren, Jeff Watson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Stephanie Burgos (Ryan) of Henderson, NC and Nathan Irby (Megan) of Holly Springs, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Faith Carithers, Wren Watson, Jonah Frazier Watson, Garrett Watson, Savannah Irby, Lincoln Irby, Jaxson Irby and Zack Kaneshige; a sister, Nancy Perdue of Patrick, SC. Ernestine was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Carithers, stepson, Thomas Reynolds, a brother, J.D. McLain and a sister, Sara Lajeunesse.
