Margaret Ann Tucker's Obituary
Margaret Ann Rushing Tucker, 83, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis NC.
Born July 29, 1940 in Union County to the late John Henry and Blanch Rushing. She was a graduate of New Salem High School in New Salem, NC and was a member of Hope Second Advent Christian Church in Monroe. Margaret worked at Allison Manufacturing and later retired from Metal Forge. She loved her family dearly and never met a stranger.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 59 years, Johnny Lee Tucker of Stanfield, daughter Misty Tucker of Stanfield, son Greg Tucker (Valerie) of Camden, SC, 5 grandchildren, Cody Tucker (Brittony) of Stanfield, Abigail, Grayson, Zach, and Ella Tucker, all of Camden, SC. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Banks and Lainey Tucker of Stanfield, brother Lane Rushing (Gayle) of Raleigh, NC and sisters Maxine Cornette of Stanfield and Mary Barbee of Shallotte, NC.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her brother, Zayne Rushing and sister, Rita Rushing Helms.
A Memorial Service will be held at Hope Second Advent Christian Church at 6804 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110 on Sunday, February 4 at 3 PM. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service in the fellowship hall.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Taylor House Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylor House Assisted Living in Albemarle NC or Tucker Hospice House Cabarrus County.
