Margaret Ellen Price's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Ellen Merritt Price, age 92, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital- Main in Charlotte.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Margaret Ellen Merritt Price will be conducted at 1:30 PM Monday, January 11, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Monroe, officiated by Reverend Chris Dawson.
Interment will be in the Presson Cemetery.
Margaret was a homemaker and formerly worked many years ago with the Town of Fort Mill, the Union County Tax Office, and held various bookkeeping positions.
Mrs. Price was born on January 7, 1924, in York County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James Ebb Merritt and Mary Denton Merritt.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Furman Merritt Sr and wife Verla of Fort Mill., SC and William H. Merritt and wife Helen of Fort Mill, SC.
Survivors include her husband, Conder (CW) Wilford Price, Jr. of Monroe; a daughter, Sherry Price Barham and husband Joel of Monroe; three grandsons, her pride and joy, John Barham, Joshua Barham and Justin Barham all of Monroe; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Merritt of Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening, January 10, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Monroe, 109 Morrow Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina 28112.
