Margaret Cook's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Cook, age 81, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the Jesse Helms Nursing Center.
Graveside services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017, at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC, 28112.
Mrs. Cook was born on January 11, 1935, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Oscar Sikes and Myrtle Helms Sikes. In her earlier years she was a sewer at Manetta Mills for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Leniord Cook in 1998, and her son Bud Cook in 2015.
Survivors include her daughter Diana Ferretis of Indian Trail; her three sons Ronnie Cook of Monroe, NC, Jackie Cook (Veronica) of Largo, FL, and Larry Cook of Monroe, NC; there are eight grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
