Mae Bell Arnette Thompson's Obituary
Mae Bell Arnette Thompson, 95, of Albemarle passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 in her home. Her funeral service will be 2 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Crusenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Cemetery in Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Born May 21, 1928 in Dillon, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Arnette. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church and worked as a Seamstress. She loved to the Lord and enjoyed Gospel Music. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed her flowers and traveling.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband George Cecil Thompson. Survivors Whitey "Wayne" Alexander Thompson of Mt. Gilead, Donald Edward Thompson of Mt. Gilead, Thomas "Yankee" Thompson (Debbie) of Mt. Gilead, Gail Hathcock (Ronnie) of Albemarle, George Thompson of Albemarle, Patricia Ann Couch (Ken) of Troy, brother Randy Floyd (Margaret) of Chesapeake, VA, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, special nephew Eddie Arnette, as well as her dog Maggie Mae.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters, 1 grandchild, and one child.
