Mack Estridge's Obituary
Joel ?Mack? Estridge, 67, of Mt. Gilead, NC passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. His funeral will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 5 PM in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joe Smith will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 PM till 5 PM on Saturday at Stanly Funeral Home prior to the service.
Born August 12, 1948 in Stanly County, he is the son of the late Samuel Earl Estridge and Claudia McKinney Estridge. Mack was a graduate of North Stanly High School and retired after 32 years with ALCOA. He was a member of The Badin Inn and Golf Club and was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating on Lake Tillery.
Mack is survived by his wife Betty Furr Estridge of the home.? Other survivors include two sons, Chris (Robin) Estridge of Charlotte, Shaan (Jennifer) Estridge of Mt. Pleasant, one brother, Sam Estridge of Badin, three grandchildren, Cailey, Seth, and Sarah Estridge, one step-son, David (Trish) Lowder of Charlotte, one step-daughter, Amy Lowder of Charlotte, and two step-grandsons, Gavin and Jackson Lowder.
Memorials may be made to Stanly County Humane Society at 2049 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001.
