Macie L. Hearne's Obituary
Mrs. Macie L. Hearne of Carrington Place in Matthews passed away October 19, 2015. Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle, NC conducted by Rev. Travis Byrd.? Interment will follow in the Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 75 years and where she was also a long time member before joining Prospect Baptist Church where she was still a member.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 9:30 ? 10:30 AM prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Hearne was born in Stanly County, March 19, 1919 to the late Calvin A. Lomax and Fannie Kimrey Lomax. She retired from Wiscassett Mills and after retirement loved to cook and share with friends and neighbors, pies, cakes, etc.
She is survived by her loving daughter Kay Gaddy of Matthews, grandson and wife Todd and Gail Gaddy of Mint Hill and two great granddaughters, Amanda and Jennifer Gaddy also of Mint Hill, NC; She is also survived by one sister, Rachel L. Swaringen and one brother Bill Lomax and wife Hedy of Brevard, NC. Two brothers and four sisters predeceased her and her very Special son-in-law Bill Gaddy.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to St. Judes Research Hospital.
