Mabel Pennington Harward, 82, of Norwood passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in Trinity Place.? Her funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, March 25, 2016 in South Albemarle Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Laws officiating.? Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.? There will be no formal visitation.
Born April 16, 1933 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of Ray A. Pennington and Flossie Talbert Pennington and was a retired employee of Bank of Stanly.? She was a member of South Albemarle Baptist Church.? She loved taking trips with the Senior Adult group from church, sitting on her back porch enjoying her view of Lake Tillery, and spending time with her family and playing with her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Donald Harward, Sr.? Survivors include son Joe Donald Harward, Jr. and wife Kerri of Norwood, grandchildren Joe Donald Harward, III and Evan Luke Harward both of Norwood.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Harward Family.
