Lynn Janine Durrett's Obituary
Lynn Janine Durrett, 55, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Atrium Health-Main in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care in Albemarle Friday, April 26th from 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel following the visitation with Pastor Ron Loflin officiating. Lynn will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born February 22, 1969, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Lawrence Durrett and the late Alyce Labriola Durrett.
Growing up a Stanly County native, Lynn attended Stanly County Schools. She loved all music and shared her love of music with others. Numerous times she sang the National Anthem to start the Special Olympics and other events. She also enjoyed trivia which she shared with her family. Lynn worked at Monarch Stanly Industrial Services, Wendy’s in Richfield, Harmancos and Second Street Sundries in Albemarle. Lynn also served on the Board of Directors for GHA Autism Supports.
Lynn is survived by her father Lawrence Durrett (Doris) of Albemarle, her uncle, Gerald Durrett (Margaret) of Jacksonville, FL and aunt, Marcella Hrinko (Walt) of Folkston, GA. She is also survived by her step siblings, Eva Nation (Matthew) of Charlotte, NC, Tabatha Torres (Paul) of Midland, NC, and Cleveland Reed of Columbia, SC. Lynn is preceded in death by her mother Alyce Durrett and her brother, Vincent Durrett.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to GHA Autism Supports for their care and support over the many years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to GHA Autism Supports at P.O. Box 2487 Albemarle, NC 28002.
